TOURS PERUGIA AND ASSISI IN LIMOUSINE

Our first stop will be Perugia, the capital of this beautiful region, in order to admire the Cathedral dating back to 1345 with its wonderful paintings and the superb Palace of the Priors. Strolling within the medieval walls one is able to admire the elegant fountain “Fontana Maggiore” designed between 1275 and 1278 by Giovanni Pisano. Before you leave we suggest a stop at one of the many chocolate shops in the city. Remember that Perugia is also famous for being the Italian capital of chocolate!
Our tour will continue onwards to the city of Assisi, better known as the city of the Patron Saint of Italy, Saint Francis (1181-1226). The Basilica, considered one the most beautiful in the world is dedicated to Saint Francis. Within the Basilica one will find the frescoes of Cimabue and Giotto, unfortunately badly damaged by the earthquake in 1998, but subsequently restored with loving care.
The story of Saint Francis inevitably brings us to Saint Clara, also from Perugia and an important personality in Italian history. The beautiful Basilica of Santa Chiara (1257) is dedicated to her.
